Aaah Summer!

As some of you might already know, summer is my favorite season. It doesn't matter to me that you get all hot and sweaty, that you have to have the air conditioning on all day long or that you are miserable at work because it seams that everybody else is outside playing. To me, nothing compares with the feeling of "freedom" that summer brings. I love going outside and seen the beautiful sunshine nice and bright at 7am. Even when I was working, it felt so good to get off work and know that I could still go to park or hit the pool for a couple of hours if I wanted to. Right now I just love being able to let my kids be outside, do picnics, go for walks with them and of course, go to the pool several times a week and maybe the lake too.
Besides being so busy doing all of the above, I've decided to take some cake decorating lessons. I've been wanting to take these lessons for a long time, but always found an excuse. Then my friend Priscila and I talked about it and decided to take the classes together, which was a motivation. I've made a few cakes before, but I wanted to learn all the little tecniques. I'm done with my first class and I'm corrently taking another one. I looove it! Some people mention that I should make some money out of it, but I think that it would take all the fun out of it. I'm doing it because I want to be able to do my kids birthday cakes and I would love to always help out a friend too. I love fondant cakes and I want to be able to do great birthday cakes and weeding cakes too, why not right?
In despite of that, I've learned that cake decorating takes some of my stress away. I just love watching the cake come along and I concentrate so much that I don't think much about other things. I'll post some pics later!
